About Us

A subsidiary of 47 Million Reasons (47MR) Healthcare Movement Inc.; we network with several farms for the mission of growing a sustainable future by addressing food insecurity, restoring ecosystems, and empowering communities through permaculture education.

Our Story

After experiencing a life-altering heart attack, George found his path to recovery through the healing power of nature. Breathing fresh air, eating wholesome and living foods, and meditating in the vibrant ecosystem, which is now the site of South Florida Permaculture Resource Center, helped him reconnect with the natural world and recognize its profound ability to heal. This journey inspired him to create a space that preserves nature, nurtures health, and fosters balance with the environment. George’s vision is to share the transformative power of nature with others, creating an oasis where people can reconnect with the earth and discover the simplicity, beauty, and vitality of living in harmony with it.

What is Permaculture?

Permaculture is a design system that works with nature to create sustainable, self-sufficient ecosystems. At its core, it’s about growing a food forest while restoring the environment, and building resilient communities by mimicking the balance found in natural systems. By integrating land, resources, people, and the environment, permaculture promotes practices that regenerate soil, conserve water, and reduce waste—all while providing nourishment and fostering biodiversity.

Permaculture addresses all the elements of life we need today. It fulfills our most basic needs for a healthier body, mind, and soul. Through permaculture, we aim to empower individuals and communities to live in harmony with the earth, ensuring a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for generations to come.

One of our core focuses is education. Our classes are designed to help reconnect people with the simplicity and balance of nature, emphasizing that we are all part of a living, interconnected system. Through courses like Intro to Permaculture, Farm-to-Table Vegan Cooking, and Camping 101, we teach essential skills for growing and cooking healthy food, preserving and caring for nature, and living harmoniously with the environment. By mimicking the interconnectedness of natural systems, participants gain both practical knowledge and a deeper appreciation for the living world, empowering them to lead healthier, more balanced lives.

Our nursery offers a variety of fruit trees and other plants grown in harmony with nature’s processes. Embracing the natural abundance of the earth, we collect seedlings, and nurture and prepare them for planting in other spaces where they can thrive and regenerate. Unlike conventional practices, we do not graft or modify our trees. Instead, we focus on cultivating heirloom plants that grow naturally, without fertilizers or interventions, allowing nature to guide their development. By enriching the soil and protecting the natural ecosystem, we ensure that every tree you purchase is truly from the forest and in its pure, natural state.

We also provide fresh produce to those in the greatest need, including uninsured families and individuals facing health challenges. Fruit trees take 7-10 years to mature and start producing, and after years of dedicated care, we are now able to begin sharing fresh, naturally grown fruit. These fruits, rich in essential nutrients and minerals from the soil, offer a powerful tool for supporting recovery and preventing illness. As our orchards continue to grow and produce more each year, we are committed to making healthy food accessible and affordable, creating a lifeline for those who might otherwise go without.
